All thanks to the long list of modern tech features coupled with luxurious interiors, the SUV became an instant hit in the Indian market. Apart from these, the four-wheeler also boasts a powerful and refined set of powertrain options. The top-of-the-line AX7 and AX7 L variants of the XUV700 gets premium interiors, while the lower variants somehow lack the special touch. So today we have come across a YouTube video by ‘Autorounders’ where the interiors of a brand new XUV700 are customized according to the owner’s choice.

The XUV700 in the video is a mid-spec AX5 7 seater trim, evident by the 17-inch alloy wheels, large dual screen instrument panel and 3rd row of seats. Talking about modifications, the seats get customized leather seat covers in the OEM pattern, soft padding on armrests, and genuine Italian leather steering wrap, the dashboard has been draped in composite leather finish and the same finishing is continued to the door pads. Along with this, all the major panels on the centre console as well as doors have been replaced by more premium piano black finish parts, in order to give it a top end model like appeal.

The presenter explains that the owner was in touch with them for quite some time and wanted top-spec model like interiors for his new SUV. He further says that the carpet finish on the 2nd and 3rd row of seats has been retained in order to maintain the originality of the customization. When the owner was asked about the complete job, he seemed quite happy and satisfied with the whole work.

The Mahindra XUV700 was launched in India in the year 2021. After several price hikes, the range of the SUV starts from Rs. 13.45 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to Rs. 24.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in five trim levels, namely MX, AX3, AX5, AX7 and AX7 L. Engine options onboard the XUV700 include a 2.2-litre mHawk Turbo diesel unit and a 2.0-litre mStallion tGDi petrol engine.

The diesel is available in two states of tune, the 155 bhp and 360 Nm of peak torque for the base MX trim, while all the other trims get 182 bhp and 420 Nm (MT), 450 Nm (AT) of peak torque. The petrol powertrain belts out 197 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. Both the engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
