0 27

Imagine you are standing on the platform of a metro station, patiently waiting for your metro to arrive. Now, suddenly when you look up, you see a Toyota Fortuner and a Maruti Suzuki Brezza moving on the same metro track. You’ll be surprised, right? Most definitely you will be, and a video of one such unique incident has been shared online. Now, before you also start wondering how this is possible, we have to make it clear that this is just a CGI (computer-generated imagery) video and no actual Fortuner and Brezza were seen inside a metro station.

Were there Fortuner and Brezza inside a metro station?

The video showing a Toyota Fortuner and a Maruti Suzuki Brezza on a metro track inside the station has been shared on Instagram by IndusGo on their channel. Before going into the details of what was seen in the video, it has to be mentioned that this particular video is actually a marketing stunt done by a car rental company that goes by the name of IndusGo. This video is a CGI video which has been created to promote the brand which provides car rental service across Kerala, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.

What happens in the video?

From the video, we can note that the setting is of a normal metro station. Following this, soon after a few seconds, a white Toyota Fortuner SUV and a Maruti Suzuki Brezza sub-compact SUV were seen coming into the frame from the right side. Next up, we can note that both of these cars were on a platform that was moving and a man was staring at this spectacle. It can also be observed that the first platform on which the Toyota Fortuner was parked had a huge poster with the name of the company and its tagline.

Why was this video created?

Most likely, this video was created by IndusGo, the car rental company, to promote their brand. What happens is when a video of something unusual like this is shared on social media platforms, the chances of them getting viral increase. And when these videos become viral and start catching eyeballs, people become interested in knowing more about the company being promoted. For those who may not remember, just a few months ago back in September, the popular finance startup CRED did something similar.

Movie cars leaving CREDs office

A video was shared online in which a number of iconic movie cars from Hollywood were seen coming out of CRED’s office in Bangalore. The video shared on Twitter showed the Mystery Machine van from Scooby-Doo, the DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future, Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee from Transformers, and lastly, the famous Tumbler Batmobile from the legendary movie franchise Batman coming out of the underground parking of CRED’s office. This video soon after it was shared became massively popular and it managed to deceive a lot of people on the internet. However, a lot of people also managed to find out that it was a CGI video.
