Maruti Suzuki Eeco minivan modified with 17 inch alloy wheels looks different

0 36

There was a time when vans were extremely popular in India. The Maruti Omni is probably one of the most popular minivans that India ever had. It was popular as both a private and commercial vehicle. Over the years, due to strict emission and safety rules, the Omni was discontinued from the market. Maruti also introduced the Eeco, which is still on sale. The Eeco is now a commonly used commercial car with a few customers in the private segment as well. We have rarely seen anyone modify a Maruti Eeco, but in this video, the owner has modified his 2016 model Maruti Eeco inside and out.

The video has been uploaded by Mihir Galat on his YouTube channel. The vlogger speaks to a bunch of youngsters who have created a group named Team Jonga and own several cars, most of which are used commercially. One such car in the video is the Maruti Eeco. The car was bought by one of the members in the group and was later sold to another member. Over the years, the team members have contributed ideas to modify this minivan.

Starting with the front, the minivan now comes with custom-built headlamps with projector lights and custom LED DRLs. LED strips around the projector can change color using a mobile application. Similarly, the bumper of this van was also customized. It now has a lip at the bottom with marker lamps. The video also mentions that they have installed custom tail lamps on this Eeco. They opted for custom lights because no manufacturer was making aftermarket lights for the Eeco in the market.

The LED tail lights look different from the stock ones with a red outline. Coming to the side profile, the owner reveals that black was the original color of this van, and he had to wait for almost 6 months to get it delivered. Maruti was not offering this shade for private registration, but they somehow managed to get it. The main attraction of this Eeco is the wheels. The stock 13-inch wheels were replaced and upgraded several times over the years, and the owner has now installed 17-inch aftermarket alloy wheels.

The alloy wheels were actually too large for the stock setup, so they had to install spacers and make other arrangements to install the same. If you notice, there are LEDs inside the alloys as well. The car comes with a fully customized interior as well. The dashboard is hydro-dipped in a red shade, and so is the horn pad on the steering wheel. The owner has also installed red and blue flashers on the front windscreen, and a loud air horn (completely illegal) is also there. The owner even replaced the roof liner on this Eeco with black fabric. The gear knob was replaced with a skull-shaped unit, and the seat covers are aftermarket too. The overall color theme on this minivan is black and red. The seat covers are also finished in the same combination. The speaker system has also been upgraded in this van.

While this setup looks different from anything we’ve seen on the internet, it’s not the best modification job. The vlogger even shares in the video that he had difficulty driving the van and the tires were actually rubbing against the fenders while he was trying to take a turn. Other than this, it’s definitely a fun-to-watch project.
