0 49

Grand Vitara is currently the flagship product from Maruti Suzuki in India. It is sold via Nexa dealerships and ever since its launch last year, the SUV has been receiving good response from customers. Even the base variant of Grand Vitara is offered with decent number of features but, it is not much when compared to higher models. In order to resolve this issue, many base variant owners have started customising the Grand Vitara. Here we have one such video where a base variant of Maruti Grand Vitara in Nexa Blue shade has been neatly customised to look like a higher variant.

The video has been uploaded by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. Both exterior and interior of this mid-size SUV has been customised as part of the project. Starting with the exterior, the workshop left the front-end untouched. Even the base variant of Grand Vitara comes with chrome outlines around the front grille, projector headlamps and dual-function LED DRLs. The main difference on this SUV is on the side profile. The stock steel rims from the Grand Vitara has been replaced with 18 inch aftermarket alloy wheels. The design of the wheels is the same that we have seen on Hyundai Tucson.

Even the top-end variant of Grand Vitara only comes with 17 inch wheels. The new set of wheels are giving the SUV a different look altogether. Rain visors, lower window chrome garnish and clear infrared heat rejection films have been installed on the windows and windscreens. The roof of this SUV has been wrapped in gloss black PPF to give a dual-tone finish. No other modifications are seen here. Moving in, the SUV gets a completely customised cabin. The black and brown dual-tone interior has been changed to Champagne Gold and Black shade.

The cabin definitely looks premium. The door pads have been wrapped in champagne gold colour leatherette upholstery. Similar treatment is seen on the dashboard as well. The steering wheel has been upgraded and the new steering wheel is finished partly in gloss black and rest of it is wrapped in leather. The base variant of Grand Vitara does not offer steering-mounted control. This has been integrated into the steering now. The instrument cluster remains the same but, the touchscreen infotainment system seen on the Grand Vitara now is an aftermarket unit. This unit also shows feed from the reverse parking camera. The speakers have also been upgraded as part of the package.

The gear lever has been wrapped in leather and so are the pillars. The roof liner has been replaced with a black coloured fabric to give cabin an even look. The car Coming to the seats, the fabric seats have been replaced with custom-made leatherette seat covers with perforation. The fit and finish of the seat cover looks brilliant and even the rear seats, armrests and the driver armrests have been wrapped in similar manner. There is a sunglass holder with LED cabin lights installed on the roof of the SUV. Overall, the work done on this SUV looks neat and gives it a premium look.
