Maruti Suzuki India Limited, which has been the top carmaker of the country for many decades now, has recently shared its future plans for the upcoming four years. The company has revealed its new Vision 3.0 strategy, under which it will be launching a total of eight new car models over the next four years. This comprehensive expansion plan includes the launches of cars in a diverse range of segments. These new models will range from electric and hybrid to conventional petrol-powered options. Following is the list of all the cars that the company is planning to launch in India.

New Swift and Dzire (YED)

First off, Maruti Suzuki’s 2024 lineup will see the addition of the highly anticipated new Swift and Dzire models. Internally codenamed as YED, the Swift, which has been the best-selling hatchback in the country, will be getting a major overhaul along with its sedan sibling Dzire. So far, we have seen the new Swift being launched in the Japanese market, and it has been noted that it will be getting an evolutionary design, new features, and a new Z-series 1.2-litre petrol engine. The Dzire, on the other hand, will also be updated heavily and will feature upmarket looks with added chrome accents and lighter interior shades. The launch of these cars, according to reports, will be around late this month or early March.

eVX all-electric SUV

Later this September-October 2024, Maruti Suzuki could be taking the covers off of its pure-electric SUV, the eVX. This mid-size electric SUV is expected to compete with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and MG Astor in India. It will be a stylish-looking SUV, boasting a born-electric architecture and a five-seat layout. The eVX, as per reports, could be offered with two battery pack options with a maximum range of around 550 km, and it will be built on an all-new electric platform.

As per the reports, the company during the Q1 of 2025 will be unveiling a new 3-row SUV based on the Grand Vitara (codenamed Y17). Manufactured at the state-of-the-art Kharkhoda plant, it will take on rivals such as the XUV700, Alcazar, and Safari.

K-EV – Most Affordable Electric Offering

YMC – First Electric MPV

As for the other launch slated for 2026, the company will be launching an all-new compact MPV based on the Suzuki Spacia. Internally codenamed as the YDB, this vehicle is expected to debut in 2026. Once launched, it could also be competing with Nissan’s affordable 7-seater MPV which will be based on the Renault Triber.
