Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that it will start streaming live sports in Dolby Atmos on Max with NBA All-Star 2024, which starts on 18 February 2024. The company will offer live sports in Dolby Atmos on Max with the B/R (Bleachers Report) Sports add-on, which costs USD 9.99 monthly.

So far, streaming services have offered movies and TV shows in Dolby Vision but not live sports. That means Warner Bros. Discovery will be the first to do so, marking the first time a streaming service will stream live sports in Dolby Vision. According to the company Dolby Vision in live sports will put customers “in the center of the action with stunning visuals that come alive with lifelike colors, sharp contrast, and rich details.

Recently, ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery announced that the three companies will launch a sports streaming service in the United States in the fall of this year, which would offer several sporting events and linear sports networks from these companies. It would be interesting to see if they offer those in Dolby Atmos.
