0 35

Meek Mill has finally shared Flamerz 5. The mixtape’s 15 tracks—many of them seeing him body popular instrumentals, which he promised with a No Ceilings comparison—feature appearances from Vory, Fridayy, Tafia, Yung Ro, and Kur.

“This me basically doing 360’s and windmills in the layup line type mixtape lol,” Meek wrote on Instagram Sunday.

Those flexes include him spitting on “God Did,” Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger,” “Big Stunna” by Quavo, Takeoff, and Birdman, “Tomorrow” by GloRilla, Kodak Black’s “Super Gremlin,” Lil Baby’s “Forever” and “In a Minute,” Gunna’s “Living Wild,” Future’s “Massaging Me” and Drake/Tems-featuring “Wait for U,” as well as “Munch (Feelin’ U)” by Ice Spice and “Last Last” by Burna Boy.

Flamerz 5 continues a mixtape series that originated over a decade ago, and marks his first tape since 2016’s DC4. The Philadelphian has been prolific on the album front ever since then, and most recently dropped his fifth studio LP Expensive Pain last year.

In the lead-up to the release of the project, Meek expressed his desire to keep the latest Flamerz off of streaming services. “I don’t want Flamerz 5 on no streaming service,” he tweeted. “This strictly underground music…Billboard can’t rate it…Just rate the music…I’d bet you a million I can make the United States/world play it with one upload button…Been doing it since MySpace lol.”

It was suggested to him that he should drop it through DatPiff, and he replied that he could share it on MyMixtapez, SoundCloud, or even Audiomack.

“I’ll put my other projects on the big boys,” he wrote. “I was making 8cent off every dollar smh minds well get it for free we upppp now lol.”

The tape now indeed lives on each of those mixtape platforms, all easily accessible here.

During his promotional run for the project, Meek compared it to No Ceilings Lil Wayne and shared a teaser for the intro sampling “Eye of the Tiger.”
