Microsoft announced the introduction of enhanced security features for Windows 11. These include updated app privacy settings and a new feature called “glanceable VPN.” According to Microsoft, the new privacy settings provide users with full visibility and authority over their personal information.

“Stay focused and securely connected with the glanceable VPN feature. A small shield icon on the taskbar signifies a recognised VPN connection, providing peace of mind with just a glance,” said Microsoft in a statement, reported DNA India.

Furthermore, users have the flexibility to personalize the VPN feature through Quick Settings, tailoring it to their individual preferences, as per the report.

Microsoft also emphasized that Windows 11 PCs integrated with the advanced Pluton security processor provide unmatched safeguarding capabilities, ensuring comprehensive protection from the chip level to the cloud.

This brings numerous advantages to users, including robust protection against malware, hardware-based attacks, and credential breaches. Additionally, Microsoft has unveiled a new feature called “account badging.”

“Starting in June, users will receive real-time alerts on their Start menu, prompting immediate action to protect their information and PC. This makes it easier to stay one step ahead in securing your valuable files,” added the tech giant.

Meanwhile, in a recent blog post, Microsoft Corp announced that it will provide access to OpenAI’s robust language-generation models to U.S. federal agencies through its Azure cloud service.

Microsoft, headquartered in Redmond, Washington, has announced the integration of support for OpenAI’s advanced language models, including GPT-4 and GPT-3, into Azure Government, its cloud service for U.S. federal agencies.

The popularity of large language models (LLMs) has surged since the introduction of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, in which Microsoft has a stake. Businesses of various types and sizes are competing to develop functionalities utilizing these models.

Microsoft’s inclusion of GPT technology in Azure Government, its cloud platform designed for U.S. government agencies, is a notable milestone. This move represents the first instance of a prominent company making chatbot technology accessible to governments.

The company typically provides access to Azure OpenAI Services for Azure commercial cloud users, which already boasts 4,500 customers as of May.
