Mila Kunis Goes on Damage Control After Enraging ‘Fantastic Four’ Purists as Arnold Schwarzenegger Keeps It in the Family

The never-ending churn of casting speculation that blankets the Marvel Cinematic Universe can grow exhausting, but it’s worth it when an incredibly unexpected rumor gains such serious traction that people are ready to turn their backs on the franchise for good.

Elsewhere, Arnold Schwarzenegger has made a rare public show of support for the MCU for reasons that should be blatantly obvious, while a Multiverse Saga debutant defended a regular source of criticism in favor of pointing the finger of blame at the studio instead. Just another day at Marvel, then.

The mere suggestion of Mila Kunis playing The Thing in the Fantastic Four reboot is so inherently ludicrous that we’d kind of love to see it happen, which clearly wasn’t a feeling shared by large swathes of comic book purists.

Fortunately, the actress moved quick to pour cold water over the far-fetched scuttlebutt, but not without teasing that she’s one of the few who knows the identity of the titular foursome.

Arnold Schwarzenegger turns Chris Pratt into a full-blown nepo baby

Can you marry into a family as a successful star and still be deemed a nepo baby? If you can, then Chris Pratt fits the bill after his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger lavished praise upon Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

To be fair, one of the most recent additions to the sprawling Schwarzenegger/Kennedy clan was the only aspect of the film singled out by praise, so the veteran action hero was clearly playing favorites, which was to be expected when Pratt is married to his daughter.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star defends a writer while blaming a studio

It wouldn’t be unfair to suggest that Michael Waldron’s script was one of the weakest elements of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but Xochitl Gomez ended up blaming the studio while defending the scribe.

Claiming his work was subjected to “33 rewrites” does sound about right, but it also furthers the conspiracy theories that Kevin Feige and the rest of the higher-ups like to get more involved than strictly necessary.

That’s it for yet another week of all things Marvel, but remember to check back tomorrow when it starts all over again.
