Moody’s Analytics visited our campus for various profiles and for different packages. I applied for the Associate Programmer Analyst Role. The company’s hiring process was in 2 rounds.

Round 1: Online Assessment: The Online Assessment was conducted on the AMCAT platform. The test consisted of 30 Questions (28 MCQ and 2 Coding Questions).

  • The MCQs were related to the basic concepts of OOPs and DBMS.
  • The main focus was on the output of the programs means that one part of the code was given and we need to tell the output of the code.

The first round ended here and 35 students were shortlisted for the final round (i.e. Technical and HR Round).

Round 2: Technical & HR Interview: I was quite lucky enough as in my case, HR didn’t ask any questions and hence I was asked only the Technical Questions.

  • The interview started with my introduction. So, I gave my introduction and also mentioned my mini project which I made using HTML and CSS. So, they asked me about my project in brief.
  • They asked me to give a brief overview and what are the functionalities of my project.
  •  Then, after that, they asked me some basic concepts of HTML tags and CSS Animations.
  •  After that, they asked me about the basic OOPs concepts and what are the 4 pillars of the OOPs.
  •  Then they asked me about the difference between Abstraction and Encapsulation.
  • After this, they also asked me some theoretical concepts of DBMS and SQL Queries. Like, what is the VIEW keyword in SQL, and what is the method to find the sum of the column’s values?
  • After this, they shared their screen and showed me a database containing two tables, and then asked me to write the queries for it.

After this, my interview was over. The interview lasted for 50 mins.

The overall difficulty level is from Easy to Moderate.
