Moto Razr 40 Ultra goes through ultimate bend test: here’s what happens

Moto Razr 40 Ultra bend test

The Moto Razr 40 Ultra (Razr+) goes through JerryRigEverything’s durability test of scratches, burns and lots of bending (wink wink). Starting with the scratch test, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra’s interior 6.9-inch FHD+ display gives out very early at just level two with more visible scratches at three. This is with a screen protector that comes with the phone. The 3.6-inch cover display does a much better job by showing scratches only at level seven. The cover display could also withstand the lighter’s flame for around 20 seconds but the interior display lasted for only six seconds.

The side metal panel along with the power and volume buttons can also get scratched easily. The power button doubles as the fingerprint sensor and despite lots of scratches, it still worked properly. The Moto Razr 40 Ultra has an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. During the test, a big chunk of dust is spread all over the phone’s display and between its hinge but there are no issues that arise from it.

Now comes the interesting part, the bend test. In the first stage, the Razr Ultra 40’s bigger display is indeed flexible as it doesn’t break at all. The cover display, however, breaks almost immediately to the point where it’s kind of shattered. The phone still works normally even after the bend test although damaged in many parts.
