Multi billionaire Kumar Mangalam Birla seen in his brand-new Rolls-Royce Ghost super luxury saloon

The British luxury automaker Rolls Royce is known as the pinnacle of opulence and success and most of the world’s powerful and elite people use it as their choice of transportation. A few years ago, India did not have that many Rolls Royce owners, but as of recently, these ultra-luxurious and mega-expensive luxobarges have gained a lot more popularity in the country. Recently one of India’s top businessmen, Kumar Mangalam Birla, also welcomed a new Rolls Royce Ghost to his stable. The billionaire picked up a second-generation Ghost in a very distinctive shade of blue and he was also seen in the automobile.

Birla’s brand-new Rolls Royce Ghost EWB was spotted by a YouTuber that goes by the name of CS12 Vlogs in Mumbai. A BMW X5 was seen behind the Rolls Royce which is belived to be the security vehicle. Mr. Birla purchased an extended wheelbase (EWB) Rolls Royce Ghost automobile, which is over 170mm longer than the ordinary Ghost. The car, which is registered with Mumbai East’s RTO, has been seen in Mumbai, Maharashtra. According to further registration information, the car was only registered in Kumar Mangalam Birla’s name and in March 2021.

The Rolls Royce Ghost EWB is presently on sale in India for Rs. 7.95 crore (ex-showroom), however this is just the base price. Just with a few options the price of the vehicle on road can reach upwards of R 9 Crores. We do not know the exact customization options included in Mr. Birla’s car. Previously Mr. Birla was seen riding around Mumbai in his top-of the-line BMW 7 series.

Earlier this year, the British luxury car manufacturer launched the Black Badge variant of the Ghost.  The Black Badge Ghost was launched in India with a price of Rs 12.25 crore, albeit this is not the vehicle’s actual ex-showroom price. The British luxury marque’s Black badge array of automobiles, introduced as the purest Black Badge motor car in the marque’s history, focuses more on a younger audience in the world of chosen Rolls Royce clients. Following the popularity of Black Badge models such as the Wraith and Ghost, which debuted in 2016, Dawn in 2017, and Cullinan in 2019, the newest edition of the Ghost is no exception.

The new Black Badge Ghost retains the standard Ghost model’s body and design but has been raised to the Black Badge standard by adding aesthetically distinguishing features. Rolls Royce can commission the BB Ghost in 44,000 ‘ready-to-wear’ colours, but the company may paint the car in whatever shade of colour that their clients prefer. Rolls Royce stated that the majority of Ghost models in their history have been ordered in black, therefore the business has produced the purest black for the new BB Ghost, which requires 45kg of paint with the addition of two coats of clear coat.

The new Black Ghost also gets the optional high-contrast, hand-painted Coachline along with the traditional Rolls-Royce hallmarks such as the high-polished Spirit of Ecstasy and Pantheon Grille. The model also gets a set of bespoke 21-inch composite diamond-cut alloy wheels finished with the marque’s infamous floating hubcap, that ensures the double R monogram remains upright at all times.

The new BB Ghost is powered by the same 6.75-litre V12 engine as the standard Ghost, but with an additional 29 PS and 50 Nm of torque, for a total power output of 600 PS and 900 Nm of torque. Customized gearboxes and throttle treatments were also added to the powertrain to supplement the engine’s increased power reserves. The ZF eight-speed gearbox and both front and rear-steered axles work together to adjust the amount of feedback to the driver based on throttle and steering inputs.
