mycaptain funding: MyCaptain raises Rs 14 crore in funding from Inflection Point Ventures, others

Education technology startup MyCaptain said it has received Rs 14 crore funding from a bunch of investors including Inflection Point Ventures, an angel investing platform. The other investors in the funding round were MyNavi, Piper Serica, Super Capital and Ankur Capital, it said.

With this fundraising, MyCaptain plans to expand its hybrid programmes into diverse cities, establishing four regional sales centres. It is also looking at introducing new programmes with a target to reach a portfolio milestone of about 50 beginner courses and five placement readiness programmes, according to a company statement.

MyCaptain was founded in 2016 by Mohammed Zeeshan (CEO), Sameer Ramesh (chief learning officer) and Ruhan Naqash (chief operating officer), who have all received a special mention in the Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ list.

“MyCaptain has successfully trained a large number of paid learners through their comprehensive beginner and job placement programmes, maintaining an impressive average net promoter score (NPS) of 50+ across their diverse offerings,” said the company statement.

The company claims that in the past year alone, it has built a network of more than 1,000 hiring partners and has facilitated placements for 1,300 learners in roles such as content writing, digital marketing and UI/UX design, securing average cost to company which surpassed the industry average by 35%.“With this fresh round of funding, we continue our focus on building out a full stack career platform for your early career journey,” said CEO Zeeshan. “We crossed 20,000+ enrolments across our courses and will be ending with Rs 31 crore in booking revenue in 2023-24. Our next focus is to reach 50,000+ yearly enrolments in our courses and Rs 100 crore in bookings by 2025-26.”
