0 57

Almost a year after teasing, Netflix finally revealed You season 4 release date! However, fans still have to wait a little more to finally see Joe taking his stalker cum serial killer avatar. During Netflix Tudum virtual event, the streaming platform unveils major details about the upcoming season.

Fans also get the first look at Penn Badgley’s scary serial killer persona in a recently released teaser for the show’s fourth season. The creepy teaser begins with Joe saying, ‘Hello, You.’ He then steps onscreen in a black cap and what appears to be a workman’s uniform, a thick beard sprouting from his face. ‘I’m not the lovable bookstore manager in New York. Or the shop clerk in LA, or the doting husband in the suburbs. No, not anymore,’ he says referring to his actions in previous seasons.

‘Allow me to introduce myself,’ he says with a slight English accent. The wall behind him reads ‘Hello Professor Jonathan Moore,’ superimposed onscreen. ‘I’ve gone through a bit of refinement upon crossing the pond,’ he says while sipping from a teacup. ‘And living in London has allowed me to bury the past if you will.’ However, it seems like season 4 will feature several new cast members as fans got a glimpse of several characters in the teaser.

You Season 4 Release Date
You’s fourth season will be released in two parts. The show, based on Caroline Kepnes’ novels, has become a favourite of millions of Netflix users and critics alike. Part one of season 4 is scheduled to release on February 10, 2023, while the season’s second part will be released one month later on March 10.

You Season 4 Cast
Fans can expect Joe’s potential victim Marianne, played by Tati Gabrielle, to return in the upcoming season after escaping with her daughter at the end of Season 3. Other newcomers introduced in the trailer are Nadia, aka Amy-Leigh Hickman and Kate played by Charlotte Ritchie, new regular characters that might catch Joe’s attention.

The trailer also introduces Ed Speleers as Rhys, Joe’s new colleague. There are also new friends in Joe’s social circle, people he seems to despise but still keeps close by for appearances. These include Tilly Keeper as Lady Phoebe, Lukas Gage as Adam, Niccy Lin as Sophie, Aidan Cheng as Simon, Eve Austin as Gemma, Ozioma Whenu as Blessing, and Dario Coates as Connie.

You Season 4 plot
The previous season ended with Joe killing Love, the mother of his child, before jetting off to Europe in search of Marianne. Following the shocking events of Season 3, You season 4 will serve as a new beginning for Joe as he seems to build a new life in London. In England, Joe adopts a new identity as Professor Jonathan Moore. In the trailer, Joe promises he’s keeping his extracurricular activities strictly professional. Yet, fans are well aware of the fact that he can’t control himself and will soon find a new flame resulting in gruesome crimes.
