Next-gen 2023 Hyundai India Verna sedan reaches dealership: Interior revealed
Hyundai is all set to launch the next-generation Verna sedan in India. The internet is filled with teaser videos and spy images of this upcoming mid-size sedan. It looks like Hyundai has already started production of their new sedan and they have started dispatching it to the dealerships. We now have a new set of images that show the car car parked at a dealership stockyard with other Hyundai vehicles. We recently came across a leaked image from South Korea where the exterior of the sedan was revealed. In this new set of images, we get to see the interior of the next-gen Hyundai Verna.
The images that were earlier available online show how the exterior of the upcoming sedan would look like. The car that was parked at the dealership stockyard did not have any camouflage or cover on it. The front of the car has been completely redesigned. It now comes with a much sleeker-looking front-end. There is a thin trip of LED that runs across the width of the car. This LED strip at the front is actually the DRL. Like many cars that are available in the market, Hyundai has also moved the headlamp of the new Verna to the bumper. The front grille is also placed on the bumper now.

The headlamps are probably all LED units and the front grille gets gloss black elements in it. Hyundai still offers a fog lamp and that is a projector unit. Just like the front, the all-new Hyundai Verna gets a completely revamped rear. Here also, the car get an LED bar running across the width of th car. The tail lamp itself has been designed in an L-shaped pattern. The tail lights are all LED. Just below the LED connecting bar is the Verna badge. The side profile of the sedan gets chrome inserts on the lower window line and door handles. The alloy wheel design on the upcoming sedan looks different too.
Interior
The new set of images show how the interior of the upcoming sedan looks like. The sedan gets an all-new design for the dashboard. The completely redesigned dashboard now comes with two large displays on it. One of them is the touchscreen infotainment system while the other is the instrument cluster. The size of the screen is said to be 10.25 inch. The AC vents are neatly integrated within the dashboard and below that we can see control for the automatic climate control. The cabin will be getting a black and off-white theme.
The new two-spoke steering wheel on the Hyundai Verna can also be seen here in the picture. The new steering wheel has buttons for audio control and other features. Overall design of the cabin looks minimalistic yet feature loaded.
Coming to the features, the next-generation Hyundai Verna will come with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, automatic headlights, lane change indicator, emergency stop signal, impact sensing auto door unlock, and seat belt reminder for all seats as a standard feature. Higher variants of the Hyundai Verna will come with Level-2 ADAS with radars, sensors, and cameras. This sedan will now offer features like Forward Collision Warning, Collision Avoidance Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Safe Exit Warning, cruise control, Lane Following Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning and Collision Avoidance Assist.
Engine
The all-new Hyundai Verna will be offered with two petrol engine options. There will be a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that generates 115 Ps and the other engine will be a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine that generates 160 Ps. The naturally aspirated version will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox along with a CVT and the turbo petrol variant will get a DCT gearbox along with a 6-speed manual option. Bookings for the all-new Verna have already commenced.
