0 26

One of the most awaited models from Maruti this year is the all-new Swift. We know that the car has already been launched in Japan, and Maruti Suzuki will be launching this popular hatchback here in India too. The car launched in India is expected to come with a lesser number of features when compared to the international variant. Here we have a new video where a fully camouflaged version of the next-generation Swift was spotted testing in India.

The video has been shared by MRD Vlogs on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger spotted the all-new Swift on the road near his home. He followed the car and recorded a video of the same. He followed the Swift in his Maruti Jimny, and he recorded a video of the rear end first. Once he was done with the rear, the vlogger moved his car to the adjacent lane and started recording the side profile. By this time, the driver and the other person sitting in the test mule saw the person recording video, and they decided to slow down.

This gave the vlogger the opportunity to capture the front as well. In terms of design, the Maruti Swift looked similar to the version showcased or on sale internationally. It definitely misses out on a few features like the ADAS, ventilated seats, and other features. In terms of the exterior, the car gets a design that has evolved from the current version. The newer version looks a lot sleeker and sportier than the outgoing model. The car comes with edgy-looking headlamps with dual-function projector lights. LED DRLs are integrated into the cluster, and turn indicators are placed right under it.

Coming to the side profile, the car gets the same design as the current version. The three-door design of the car has been revised, and it now comes with door handles placed on the door instead of the C-pillar. The car comes with a floating-type roof design. Just like the front, the rear of the upcoming Swift has also been redesigned. It gets clear lens tail lamps with LED elements in it. The version seen here in the video is the top-end model as it comes with a rear windscreen wiper, defogger, and alloy wheels. It needs to be seen if the lower version would get halogen lights at the front and rear or would it offer projector units as standard.

The interior of the new Swift will see a layered dashboard finished in two-tone. There will be features like a floating touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, reverse parking sensors, twin-pod analog instrument cluster with color MID in the center, and so on. The car is expected to come with Suzuki’s new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that is for both performance and fuel efficiency. The Japanese version of this hatchback is available with manual and CVT options. AWD feature is also offered with the manual version there. In India, however, we are expecting the all-new Swift to come with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox option. Maruti is expected to launch the next-gen Swift in the coming months.
