U.S. Steel agreed to be acquired by Nippon Steel in a $14.1 billion deal that would combine two steel giants in America and Japan.
Nippon Steel agreed to acquire the Pittsburgh-based United States Steel for $55 a share, marking a 40% premium to the company’s share price when the market closed on Friday.
