The car collection of the Ambani family, commonly referred to as ‘Jio Garage’, is probably the most expansive and enviable in the country. It includes every prestigious, top-of-the-line supercar, luxury car, and SUV that you can think of. Despite this, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class seems to be a favorite of the Ambani family. Recently, Nita Mukesh Ambani was spotted leaving the Wankhede Stadium after a cricket match in a 14-year old black-colored Mercedes-Benz S600.

In a YouTube video uploaded by “Mumbai Cars,” Nita Mukesh Ambani is seen leaving the stadium in a black-colored Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The car was part of a multi-car convoy that left the stadium after the conclusion of an IPL match. Along with the black-colored sixth-generation S-Class S600, the convoy also had a silver-colored fifth-generation S-Class and a white-colored Mercedes-Benz V-Class. The fifth-gen S-Class seen in the video is one of the oldest cars in the Jio Garage, and it’s regularly used despite its age. It seems like this silver-colored previous-generation S-Class is a favorite among the Ambani family members.

In addition to the Mercedes-Benz cars, the convoy had expensive SUVs like the Land Rover Range Rover used by the security personnel. The line-up of UVs used by the security personnel included MG Gloster and Toyota Innova Crysta wrapped in the livery of the Mumbai Police, which provides Z+ category security to the Ambani family members. With all these cars and SUVs, it’s estimated that the total value of this particular convoy leaving the Wankhede Stadium at that time was nearly Rs 8-9 crore.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class S600L

The black-colored Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which Nita Ambani was seen in is a rare car that is not often spotted on public roads. It is the S600 powered by a V12 petrol engine. This is a 2009 model, which means that it is a 14 year old car.

The car came powered by a 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine that generates a massive 51o PS of peak power. The torque maximizes at 830 Nm. It was a true V12 engine in every sense and maybe that’s why the Ambani clan still uses it. It is rare to see the Ambanis in such old vehicles unless it is a bulletproof vehicles.

It seems like the car is dear to someone in the family and it is in spectacular condition. The S-Class S600 was the flagship non-AMG variant of its time and was a much sought-after vehicle. Even today, many enthusiasts would want one in their garage.

Ambani family convoys

The family often travels in different cars in the same convoy to reduce the security threat. The Ambani family is always accompanied by a team of personal guards and CISF personnel, as evident in their convoy of more than 20 cars, which showcases the family’s real power in Mumbai. The most expensive car in the convoy is undoubtedly the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard, a bulletproof sedan that Ambani frequently uses, along with his other two bulletproof cars.

This S600 is the latest addition to Mukesh Ambani’s ever-expanding collection of armored vehicles. Another armored car in the convoy is the BMW 7-Series Hi-Security, which Ambani has been using for quite some time. However, it appears that someone else in the family has started using this armored vehicle as well. The old S-Class Guard is also part of the convoy.
