On the microblogging site, Carl Pei, the CEO and founder of the London-based tech company, posted pictures of himself posing with the Nothing Phone (1) and what was thought to be a copy of it. During the MWC 2023 event in Barcelona, a high-ranking company employee saw a similar device. The device in question is the Unihertz Luna, and the pictures shared by Pei show an LED design influenced by the Glyph interface on the Nothing Phone (1).

Even though it doesn’t look exactly like the Nothing Phone (1), the idea of putting long LED strips on the back is clearly based on it. The Glyph interface worked by lighting up to let users know when messages, calls, and other things were coming in. Even so, it’s still unclear what the LEDs on the back of the Unihertz Luna are for. The only thing that the two smartphones have in common is how they look.

In terms of specifications, the upcoming Unihertz Luna has a 6.81-inch display and sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 108MP main camera and a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 12 and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support.

The Nothing Phone (1) was launched at Rs 32,999 for the base variant, and the Unihertz Lunais said to be priced under USD 300 (approx Rs 24,762). However, Indian consumers do not need to put their hopes high as it will likely never arrive in India.
