Nothing Phone users can expect some exclusive features

0 44

Carl Pei and the Nothing crew are fleshing out the Nothing experience. The burgeoning ecosystem doesn’t have much to offer that you won’t find elsewhere, but the company CEO is looking to change that. According to a new tweet from Carl Pei, the company is planning on bringing some exclusive features for Nothing users.

While Nothing does have a few years under its belt and a handful of products, the company is still brand-new in the grand scheme of things. It’s still got a ways to go if it wants to truly create an identity of its own. The Nothing Phone stands apart from the crowd because of its unique hardware, but what about the software driving it?

Nothing might bring exclusive features for its users

Carl Pei just posted a tweet on Monday explaining that the company is thinking of bringing features that only work between Nothing products. The keyword here is “thinking”. He didn’t give any specifics as to what the company could potentially bring. We’re not even sure that the company will bring anything. It seems that it’s still in the spitball stage.

He ended the tweet by asking the users if they had friends or family using the Nothing Phone (1) who could use exclusive features. This is a smart move, as the company could get a good idea of what the people would like to see. The Nothing community is still relatively small, so that will make it easier to read the majority of the requests.

At this point, we’re not sure if the company is talking about features only for the Nothing Phones or for the entire ecosystem of devices. This isn’t unheard of; Samsung does much the same thing with its Galaxy devices. While it’s an ecosystem based on very little proprietary software, Samsung has been able to bring some exclusivity into the Galaxy ecosystem.

As for what features to expect, that’s still up in the air. We’ll have to wait to see what Carl Pei has in store for Nothing fans.
