However, recently, a popular YouTuber, whose channel goes by the name of Her Garage, has shared a series of videos documenting her old Type 2 Fortuner’s conversion journey. The vlogger has shared a number of videos showing the entire process, including disassembling, cutting of the C-pillar, welding of new panels, changing of body parts, painting, and various other tasks. Finally, she has taken delivery of her newly converted Fortuner and shared the delivery video of this unique build as well.

Type 2 Fortuner to Legender

The video of the delivery of the Toyota Fortuner Type 2 conversion into GR Sport and Legender hybrid has been shared on YouTube by Her Garage. In this delivery video, the vlogger first gives an introduction by stating that she will be taking delivery of her new SUV. She mentions that, at the moment, the car is getting cleaned from the inside. She adds that they have added new Fortuner puddle lamps and also shows the various parts that have been realigned after their initial installation.

She shows the rear taillight and mentions that previously there was a one-finger gap between the taillight sections, which has now been corrected. She then also shows a few other parts that are being added, including window visors, Fortuner embossed claddings on doors, and others. Finally, later in the video, she takes delivery of the car. The vlogger can be seen removing the red cloth from her newly converted Fortuner and then thanking the owner of the shop who has helped her in changing this car from Type 2 to Legender and GR Sport hybrid.

Behind the scenes of this conversion project?

The story behind this conversion goes back to December of last year. The presenter of the channel took delivery of her Type 2 Fortuner, and immediately after that, she sent the car to the shop where it underwent the conversion. Firstly, the entire car was disassembled, and then the presenter went to the used car parts market to source parts for the conversion of her car.

After this, the main part of this conversion took place where the C-pillar of her car was chopped off to install a new rear quarter panel. Next up, all the parts that she bought from the market were installed, and her car went into the bodywork stage. In this stage, her car was filled with body filler, sanded, and then primed before going into a paint booth. Finally, after this, her car was painted in white color, and the kit was reinstalled. The vlogger in her videos mentions that it’s a one-off car as she has used different parts from Legender as well as the Fortuner GR Sports. Lastly, the YouTuber has shared the video of her taking delivery of this unique SUV.
