0 24

We’re in the third month of the year and Samsung fans are waiting with bated breath for the One UI 6.1 update to arrive on their devices. However, Samsung still isn’t done rolling out the One UI 6.0 (Android 14) update to all eligible phones and tablets.

The list of devices that haven’t received One UI 6.0 everywhere yet includes the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. The Galaxy A52’s update became available in more markets this week, and it appears the same is true for the Galaxy A72 update.

Android 14 for the Galaxy A72 has gone live in some Middle Eastern and European countries. It is also rolling out in India. The update carries the firmware version A725FXXU6EXB3 and includes the January 2024 security patch.

One UI 6.0 and Android 14 bring plenty of new features and improvements, including a redesigned Quick Panel, a smarter airplane mode, new home screen widgets for apps such as Camera and Weather, additional watermark options in the camera app, two-handed drag and drop of media and other data in various apps, enhanced photo and video editing tools, Auto Blocker for protection against unknown apps over a USB connection, and more.

To download it over the air, open the Settings app on your phone, select Software update, and tap Download and install. If you would rather install the update manually using a Windows PC, you can download the required firmware from our archive.

Android 14 will be the final major Android update for the Galaxy A72, but it may get One UI 6.1 before its eligibility for OS and feature updates ends. Stay tuned for more information and news on One UI 6.1 in the coming weeks.
