The OnePlus 11 is finally official. After quite a few leaks and rumors, the phone finally got announced in China. This is its initial launch, while the global model will arrive on February 7.

The global model will be very similar to the Chinese one, though. It will ship with different software, but its specs will be identical. It may be available in different RAM + storage combos, though.

The OnePlus 11 is finally official, with a surprise or two

That being said, thanks to this launch, we basically know what to expect next month. Leaks were spot on when it comes to the phone’s design, and the company actually confirmed it prior to launch too.

The OnePlus 11 does resemble its predecessor, but it comes with a redesigned rear camera island. The phone is made out of metal and glass, and it has a curved display. A display camera hole sits in the top-left corner.

On the back, you’ll notice a circular camera island with three cameras, an LED flash, and Hasselblad branding. That circular camera island does seem like it’s connecting to the phone’s frame, due to the way OnePlus designed it.

The bezels on the phone are very thin, while an alert slider is back, and it sits on the right-hand side. The phone’s design is symmetrical once again, and the company’s logo is included on the back. The OnePlus 11 comes in two color options, ‘Endless Black’ and ‘Infinite Blue’ based on translation from the Chinese language. It is possible those two models will be called Matte Black and Glossy Green globally, though.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 fuels the phone, and plenty of (fast) RAM is included

Now, in terms of specs. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC fuels this phone. That is Qualcomm’s latest and greatest processor. OnePlus also included LPDDR5X RAM here, and UFS 4.0 flash storage. Also the latest and greatest components.

The OnePlus 11 will be available in China in both 12GB and 16GB RAM flavors. The 12GB RAM model includes 256GB of storage, while the 16GB RAM model comes with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. We may get different combos in other markets.

A 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display is included on the phone. It is a 120Hz panel, which gets up to 1,300 nits when it comes to brightness. It does support HDR10+ content, and Dolby Vision.

100W wired charging is included, but wireless charging doesn’t seem to be

A 5,000mAh battery sits on the inside of the phone, and it supports 100W wired charging. A charger is included in the box, by the way. Wireless charging doesn’t seem to be supported. It’s not listed on the company’s official spec list.

IP rating is not mentioned in the official materials, but it would be weird if it shipped without it. The OnePlus 10 Pro offers IP68 certification. We’ll have to check with OnePlus. Bluetooth 5.3 is also on offer here, as is WiFi 6. The phone does support 5G connectivity, of course.

A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX890 sensor) is backed by a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (Sony’s IMX581 sensor). The third camera on the back is a 32-megapixel telephoto unit (Sony’s IMX581 sensor, 2x optical zoom). Hasselblad branding is included, and the company helped with color tuning for the phone’s camera. A 16-megapixel unit sits on the front.

The phone’s pricing starts at the equivalent of $580

Android 13 comes pre-installed on the device, along with OnePlus’ ColorOS 13. The phone’s pricing starts at CNY3,999 ($580) in China. It will be more expensive in other markets, of course.
