The OnePlus Pad, OnePlus’ most powerful tablet, is now getting Android 14 in the US. This has been confirmed by Mishaal Rahman, as the update landed on his device. The update did arrive to a number of other regions already, and it’s coming to more of them soon.

Android 14 is now rolling out to the OnePlus Pad in the US

This Android 14 update brings OxygenOS 14 to the tablet, of course. The update is marked as ‘OPD2203_14.0.0.300’. Mishaal also shared the changelog that he was presented with upon updating.

If you’ve already received OxygenOS 14 on your device, this changelog will look very familiar. These are all changes focused on OxygenOS 14, though some Android 14 changes are also implemented under the hood. Those are not mentioned here, however.

This update adds ‘Aqua Dynamics’ to the tablet. That’s basically a new way of interacting with morphing forms. It allows you to access up-to-date information at a glance, basically.

The ‘Smart Cutout’ feature has been added to the tablet

The ‘Smart Cutout’ feature has been added. It can automatically separate multiple objects from a photo by using AI. Once it does that, you can save that cutout, or share it with someone straight away

The ‘Shelf’ has been improved too, more widget recommendations are now available there. Photo and video-related permission management has been improved too, and the same goes for system stability as a whole. Apps should launch faster now, and the smoothness of animations has been improved as well.

OnePlus also added support for app-specific refresh rates in order to improve user experience. On top of that, Aquamorphic-themed ringtones have been added to bring a breath of fresh air to system notification sounds.

The OnePlus Pad is exactly a year old at this point

That’s pretty much it. The OnePlus Pad is exactly one year old at this point, as it originally launched on February 7. It’s still quite a powerful piece of tech, though, as it’s based on the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. This update is rolling out in stages, though if you live in the US, you’ll likely get it soon.
