Round 1- Online test on hackerrank

  • 6 MCQs- aptitude, DSA application in real life, DBMS, difficulty level: easy
  • 2 coding questions – difficulty level: medium 

20 people were selected for the technical interview. 

Round 2 – Technical interview 

It was a virtual interview for about 40 mins. The interviewer was very friendly and introduced himself.  He then asked me to introduce myself. After a brief introduction, he started asking questions.

  • Oops, concept -what is meant by abstract class, and why do we use it?
  • An approach to a coding qn -basic string manipulation and time complexity of my approach. 
  • What do you know about SQL injection?
  • SQL queries- I gave an answer using inner queries but he asked for a different answer using joins. I gave that too.
  • An aptitude puzzle
  • He asked me if I am aware of computer networks and software engineering. I told him we have those papers in the upcoming semester. 

Round 3- Managerial Round

  • Introduction
  • How adaptable are you
  • Proud moment
  • Failure in your life
  • Strength, weakness, and what are the skills still you need to develop
  • What do you know about PayPal
  • Job Expectations
  • What do you do if you don’t understand the problem statement
  • What if your teammates don’t like your solution?

8 people were selected for the summer internship and I was one among them.
