PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the reveal of the free PS4 and PS5 games for August 2023. Due to the way the dates fall, the PS Plus reveal will take place nice and early for the month of August. Sony will officially announce the PlayStation Plus games at 4.30pm BST UK time on July 26. Express Online will keep this article updated with the official announcement and any potential leaks, so keep checking back for all the latest news. Once the games have been announced, the titles will be available to download and play less than a week later on August 1, so there’s really not long to wait.

The new PS Plus titles will replace the existing line-up of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered, and Endling – Extinction is Forever.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is certainly the highest profile game in the line-up, featuring an entertaining campaign mode, as well as the usual array of multiplayer maps and experiences.

Alan Wake Remastered is an enhanced version of the popular survival horror game. With the sequel launching later this year, now is a great time to try the cult classic.

Finally, Endling – Extinction is Forever is a stylish side-scrolling platform game with beautiful 3D visuals and a compelling story.

Players take control of an endangered fox who must guide her cubs to safety, while protecting them from human and animal predators.

As for the August releases, fans have been having fun predicting the line-up on sites like Reddit.

Lots of people seem to think Hades will be available to download in August, alongside games like Rollerdrome, Little Nightmares 2 and the Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Martial arts action game Sifu also makes an appearance in the predictions thread, alongside Sekiro, Stardew Valley and Death’s Door.

That’s on top of Sonic Frontiers, Lost Judgement, No Man’s Sky, FIFA 23 and the recent Saints Row remake.
