POCO and Airtel’s new device

  • When asked whether it is the POCO Neo series or the POCO F6 series, the POCO executive clarified that it is the Airtel version of an existing device.
  • Without mentioning any details regarding the device, Himanshu said that it will be the most affordable 5G device ever to launch in India.
  • What’s interesting to note is that there’s no mention of whether the product in question is a smartphone or any other smart gadget.
  • There are chances we might see an existing C-series phone and the network will be locked into Airtel.

Separately, POCO India is gearing up to launch the POCO X6 Neo later this month. The handset will join the POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro. The handset is speculated to be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, which launched in China recently. The leaked render of the phone showed a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, a boxy chassis, and a large camera island on the back to house dual camera sensors.

The handset is expected to be priced under Rs 16,000 for Indian consumers. We should learn more details about the phone in the coming days.
