One of the most popular super SUVs from the German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz the G63 AMG has received a staggering price hike of Rs 85 lakh. The top-of-the-line G63 AMG variant of the G-Class is now priced at Rs 3.3 crore (ex-showroom). Prior to this price hike, the model was retailing for around Rs 2.45 lakh. The company brings this model via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route and offers the model in very limited numbers. Recently it was also announced that the model has received additional units of the G63 for MY2023 and will first be offered to the existing Mercedes owners and then will be offered to new clients.

The W463, second generation Mercedes G63 AMG was first launched in India back in 2018 with a price tag of a whopping Rs 2.19 crore. Following the launch, a few years later the price jumped to Rs 2.45 crore and now to Rs 3.3 crore. The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG more commonly referred to as the G-wagon comes available in two variants in India – the entry-level 6350d and top-spec G63.

The G-350d variant comes powered by a smaller 3 liter, six cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that puts out 282 Bhp of peak power and 600 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to an 9 speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Meanwhile the, more expensive G63 variant comes powered by a Biturbo V8 engine that generates a maximum output of 585 PS and a maximum torque output of 850 Nm and it comes mated to a 9-speed Tiptronic automated gearbox.
