Next week’s Fall Of The House Of X #1 hit the market early. We have seen a Western dream from Cyclops of frontier justice, a preview of Wolverine and Colossus concocting a “Screwball Special” up against Orchis, before getting a little flambe, but what is Professor Xavier up to?
Well, he’s doing whatever the hell he likes. The X-Men have their plan, and Professor Xavier has his.
So even though Rasputin IV, the chimaera mutant from a now-non-existent future, is essential to their plan to rescue Cyclops from his trial as a terrorist leader in Paris, requesting the death penalty (that in our world isn’t available there), Xavier has other concerns.
And doesn’t bother to involve the other X-Men, merely using his celebrity status over Rasputin IV to whisk her away from the action.
Fall Of The House Of X #1 by Gerry Duggan and Lucas Werneck is published on Wednesday from Marvel Comics. Officially, that is.
