The next wave of PlayStation Plus games are about to be released for October 2022. Available for PS Plus Premium and Extra subscribers, the new games are headlined by the likes of GTA Vice City Remastered, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Dragon Quest 11. Premium and Extra members can start playing the new games from around 10am BST UK time on October 18.

A grand total of 16 games are coming to the Premium and Extra tiers, as well as a further seven PlayStation Classics solely for Premium subscribers.

The headline new game is Grand Theft Auto Vice City – Definitive Edition, which features a host of upgrades such as modern controls and superior lighting.

“Play the genre-defining classic of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City updated for a new generation,” reads the official description.

“Now featuring across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing this beloved world to life with all new levels of detail.”

The classic GTA game is joined by Dragon Quest 11, which is the most recent mainline entry in the role-playing series.

Speaking of Dragon Quest, subscribers can also play both Dragon Quest Builders releases, as well as Dragon Quest Heroes and its sequel.

That’s on top of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, AC Chronicles Russia, China and India, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

Horror fans will probably want to check out The Medium and Inside, while Hohokum and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker offer a nice change of pace if you find the previous titles too scary.

The PlayStation Classics line-up is headlined by a trio of Yakuza games, including Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4 and Yakuza 5 Remastered.

These classic PS3 titles are joined by Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Everyday Shooter, Ultra Street Fighter IV and critically-acclaimed puzzle platformer Limbo.

“Uncertain of his sister’s fate, a boy enters Limbo. This unsettling, 2D puzzle platformer was created by PlayDead, the studio behind the equally critically acclaimed Inside, which is also included in the Game Catalog this month.”
