Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 specifications, features
- AI: The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 has AI at its core with support for on-device Generative AI. It has an on-device AI assistant that can generate content based on written or image prompts. It also comes with support for multiple AI models including Baichuan-7B, Llama 2 and Gemini Nano.
- Performance: This chipset features one primary core up to 3.0 GHz, four performance cores up to 2.8 GHz, and 3 efficiency cores up to 2.0GHz. It supports up to 24GB LP-DDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It also comes with real-time hardware-accelerated ray tracing for gaming.
- Cameras: The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC supports up to 36MP triple camera, 64MP + 36MP dual camera, 108MP single camera, and 200MP photos. The chipset also supports AI camera capabilities.
- Connectivity: It’s equipped with the Snapdragon X70 5G Modem supporting speeds up to 5.8 Gbps via Wi-Fi 7.
- Display: The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC supports up to Quad HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Smartphone OEMs confirmed to use Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset
Qualcomm in its announcement confirmed a list of OEMs that will launch smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Honor, iQOO, Realme, Redmi and Xiaomi will soon launch smartphones with the new Snapdragon chipset. The first phone is also slated to arrive as early as March.
There’s a Realme RMX3851 smartphone speculated to launch with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This could be the Realme GT Neo 6 series but nothing’s officially confirmed yet. POCO F6 Pro, another upcoming phone is also tipped to launch with the new chipset.
