As a surprise to a lot of motoring enthusiasts, the Chennai-based bike maker Royal Enfield organized a grand reveal and launch of its latest motorcycle, the Shotgun 650. The company took the covers off this motorcycle at the much-anticipated Motoverse 2023 event, also known as Rider Mania, in Vagator, Goa. This limited-edition bobber-styled motorcycle is the brand’s most unique and limited offering in India, and only 25 units of this bike are being offered in the initial phase. The company has announced that these 25 bikes will be sold via a lucky draw to the attendees of the Motoverse event.

Distinctive Design

In terms of design, the all-new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 boasts a classic bobber styling, featuring a long and low-slung profile. The design is highlighted by a striking naked round headlamp with an offset console. It also features bar-end mirrors, a single seat, and a chunky, chopped rear fender. Adding a unique design, the company is offering this new motorcycle with all-black hardware, and it will be complemented by a vivid paint scheme that incorporates blue and black shades with edgy graphics.

Features and Specifications

As for the features offered with the new Shotgun 650, it comes with a full-LED lighting system and a semi-digital console featuring a handy Tripper navigation module. Meanwhile, on the powerplant side of things, it will come powered by the same 649cc petrol engine that we already see on the Super Meteor 650. The Shotgun 650 gets the same air and oil-cooled, parallel-twin-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum power of 47bhp and a respectable 52 Nm of torque. This powerful engine will come coupled with a smooth six-speed gearbox.

Pricing and Availability

The Limited Edition Shotgun 650 bobber is priced at Rs. 4.15 lakh, making it the most expensive Royal Enfield motorcycle on sale in India. Currently, the Super Meteor 650 starts from 3.54 lakh rupees (ex-showroom, Mumbai). As mentioned before, the company currently is offering only 25 units of the Shotgun 650, and all of these 25 bikes will be sold to the attendees of the Motoverse 2023 event. The company will be organizing a lucky draw, and winners will be able to purchase the bike at the event.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 launched

Apart from the unveiling of the Shotgun 650 at the Motoverse, the company also launched the much-awaited Himalayan 452. Royal Enfield has launched the new Himalayan 452 adventure motorcycle with a starting price of Rs 2.69 lakh, which will go all the way up to Rs 2.84 lakh. The company has announced that this pricing will be valid till midnight of December 31, 2023.

The base variant, which is the Kaza Brown colored model, has been priced at Rs 2.69 lakh. Meanwhile, the Pass variant, which will be offered in Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue color, has been priced at Rs 2.74 lakh. The summit variant offered in Kamet White has been priced at Rs 2.79 lakh. Meanwhile, the Summit variant in Hanle Black color has been priced at Rs 2.84 lakh.
