Samsung brings Bixby Routines to Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73
Samsung has added the Bixby Routines feature to the Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73. The new feature was introduced on these phones as a part of the update that brought them Android 13 and One UI 5.0. Until now, Bixby Routines was limited to the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold series, Galaxy Z Flip series, and the Galaxy A52.
The company has also released a video to let the Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73 users know that their phone now has the new feature. However, we are not sure whey the company is calling it Bixby Routines even though it has renamed the feature to Modes & Routines.
What is Bixby Routines?
Bixby Routines is an automation feature that can make your device perform a series of actions when certain conditions are met. For example, you can create a routine where your smartphone will open Spotify every time you connect headphones to the device. Or you can create a routine where your phone opens Google Maps and turns Wi-Fi off as soon as it connects with your car’s infotainment system through Bluetooth. The feature was introduced with the Galaxy S10 series, and since then, Samsung has offered it only on its flagship smartphones (the Galaxy A52 being an exception). However, the company has now added the feature to its more affordable smartphones with the Android 13 update.
We don’t know what made Samsung suddenly change its mind and add the feature to these devices when it had decided not to offer it with these phones at the time of their launch. But it is here, and we are happy about it.
