The Samsung Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy A35 will launch in Germany on March 11th, 2024, according to a report by Winfuture.de. The handset will arrive as a premium mid-range offering and could be priced upwards of Rs 35,000 in India when launched. The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G new leak reiterates some of the already leaked specifications, including cameras, display and more.

  • Display: The leak reiterates the Samsung Galaxy A55 will sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a punch-hole cutout.
  • Chipset: The handset will ship with the in-house Exynos 1480 SoC with an AMD GPU for enhanced graphics performance. 
  • RAM/storage: 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. A recent leak revealed there will be a 12GB RAM option as well.
  • OS: The phone is likely to boot Android 14-based One UI custom skin out of the box. This could mean we might see some AI features on board.
  • Rear cameras: The Galaxy A55 is rumoured to ship with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 wide-angle camera and a 5MP macro shooter. There could be a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies.
  • Battery: The phone might house a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging technology.
  • Others: IP67 certified, stereo speakers, and probably an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

The renders showed the phone will have a centre-positioned to house the selfie snapper. There is volume rocker and power buttons on the right edge. The recently leaked live images revealed there will be triple cameras on the Galaxy A55 5G positioned at the top left corner. We have the Samsung logo as well. The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G will be available in Navy, Ice Blue, White, and Purple colours.
