Samsung Galaxy F55 and Galaxy C55 get one step closer to launch
A few days ago, we learned that Samsung is developing a new F-series smartphone, the Galaxy F55. The upcoming device will most likely be a rebranded variant of the Galaxy M55, which is another smartphone the brand is developing, and a successor to the Galaxy F54. Now, the Wi-Fi Alliance has certified the Galaxy F55, which not only confirms the existence of the device but also suggests that Samsung could launch it very soon.
Along with that, the Wi-Fi Alliance has certified another upcoming smartphone from Samsung that we haven’t heard about in the past. It has the model number SM-C5560. Going by that, the brand could call it the Galaxy C55. The last set of smartphones that Samsung launched in the C-series were the Galaxy C7 and the Galaxy C8, which came out in September 2017. So, it looks like the brand is reviving the C series after almost five years.
Galaxy F55 and Galaxy C55 Wi-Fi Alliance certifications
Apart from that, the only other piece of information that the certifications of the Galaxy F55 and the Galaxy C55 reveal is that the two smartphones have dual-band Wi-Fi 6. That, however, isn’t surprising considering that Samsung already offers this connectivity option with the Galaxy M54 and other mid-range smartphones.
The listing of the Galaxy M55 on Geekbench revealed that the smartphone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. Considering that the Galaxy F55 will be based on that smartphone, it could most likely have the same processor. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the Galaxy F55 at the moment.
The Galaxy C55 is an even more mysterious smartphone at the moment. We don’t know if it is based on the Galaxy M55 or a totally different device altogether. Now that Samsung has started getting the Galaxy C55 certified from different platforms, we could soon see more leaks about the device with juicy information.
