Samsung Galaxy S22 gets March 2023 security update in more countries

Last week, Samsung released the March 2023 security update to the Galaxy S22 series in Europe. Now, the update has expanded to more regions and countries around the world. The company’s previous-generation flagship smartphone series is now getting the March 2023 update in Asia, Australia, Latin America, and North America.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S22 comes with firmware version S90xEXXS3CWB5 in some Asian, European, and Latin American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, and Vietnam.

In the US, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra are getting the March 2023 security update with firmware version S90xUSQS2CWB7 for the carrier-locked units and firmware version S90xU1UES2CWB7 for unlocked units. In China and Hong Kong, the phones are getting updated with firmware version S90x0ZHS2CWB8. More countries will get the new update within the next few days.

The March 2023 security patch fixes around 50 security loopholes found in Galaxy devices. If you have a Galaxy S22 series phone and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can update it by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Or, you can download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
