Samsung Galaxy S23 price in India (leaked)

According to the report, the base Samsung Galaxy S23 model will cost Rs 79,999, which is Rs 99 more as the iPhone 14 price in India. The Galaxy S23 Plus, which will serve as the mid-range model in the lineup, will start at Rs 89,999, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the top variant in the lineup, will reportedly start at Rs 1,14,999.

In comparison, the 2022 flagship lineup saw the Galaxy S22 priced at Rs 72,999, the S22 Plus cost Rs 84,999, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra cost Rs 1,09,999. This brings a mark-up of Rs 5,000-7,000 on the prices of Samsung’s flagship smartphone lineup in India. To be sure, the reported price hike will come amid a phase of dip in consumer demand for smartphones in the market — according a report by Counterpoint published on Friday, January 27, the smartphone market in India contracted by 9 percent through last year, and could decline even further.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will lead the lineup, as is the norm. The latter is expected to feature a custom-configured Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB internal storage. It is expected to house a 6.8-inch, Quad HD, 120Hz display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 screen protection, and one of its key highlights is expected to be a 200MP primary rear camera. The smartphone may feature a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, as well.
