According to a Geekbench listing, first spotted by the Dutch website Galaxy Club, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will come with Qualcomm’s next-gen flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. While the listing does not mention the exact name of the processor, it shows the smartphone’s codename as SM-S911U with a “Kalama” motherboard, which had been linked with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 earlier.

The listing also shows the CPU’s configuration. There is one prime core clocked at 3.36GHz, four mid-cores clocked at 2.80GHz, and three small cores at 2.02GHz. This lines up with a previous report that said that the Samsung Galaxy S23 will come with a 1+2+2+3 CPU core configuration – one Makalu-Elp prime core, two Makalu and two Matterhorn mid cores and three Klein-R1 cores.

Samsung Galaxy S23’s specifications also include 8GB RAM and Android 13 OS, according to the Geekbench listing.

Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy S23’s colour options were tipped, hinting at four main colour options for users. This includes beige, black, green, and light pink. Earlier, we had got our first look at the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ via leaked renders, showing us what the next generation of Samsung flagships will look like.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 was also spotted in a 3C certification listing last month, hinting at the smartphone’s model number, as well as battery and charging specifications. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra appeared in a 3C listing earlier than the vanilla models.

This time, Samsung is rumoured to launch the Galaxy S23 series slightly earlier than usual. This year, the company launched the Galaxy S22 series in February, so it is likely that the company may aim for an early February or late January 2023 launch.
