Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to feature 4K 120fps video recording

0 53

It may not look like Samsung is bringing many new features with the Galaxy S24 Ultra in terms of hardware, but it appears that the company is trying to make the most out of the hardware. The South Korean firm hasn’t improved the camera resolution or sensor size but offers more features and improved quality. One such feature is touted to be the ability to zoom in 5x while recording 8K videos. Another feature is high-frame-rate video recording.

Galaxy S24 Ultra can record 4K 120fps video recording

A new report from tipster Ice Universe claims that the Galaxy S24 Ultra would be able to record 4K videos at a whopping 120fps. Very few smartphones in the world can record 4K 120fps videos. It isn’t clear, though, if the phone can record videos at that resolution and frame rate using all its cameras. Theoretically, it should be possible, but only time will tell if Samsung has implemented that feature on all the cameras on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Nubia Z60 Ultra from ZTE can record 4K 120fps videos using all three rear cameras.

Check out our long-term review of the Galaxy S23 Ultra in the video below.

Galaxy S24 Ultra camera specifications

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to feature a 200MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS and 5x optical zoom. Leaked specifications reveal that the phone would be able to offer 10x optical quality-like zoom with the combination of its 5x optical zoom camera and in-sensor crop from its 50MP camera.

On the front, the phone is said to have a 12MP camera with autofocus. All the cameras can record 4K videos, while the primary and largest zoom camera can record 8K 30fps videos. Powered by AI, Samsung will also offer ‘Nightography Zoom,’ a feature that might offer improved image and video quality even when zooming in during low-light conditions. There are said to be several other AI-powered features, including Generative AI filling in the blank space in images while editing them.
