Samsung Galaxy S24 users report issues with face unlock, screen mirroring

0 19

The Galaxy S24 has received tremendous response worldwide, and the overall sales of the series have increased by 8% globally. These phones brought several upgrades, including brighter screens, faster processors, improved battery life, and AI features. However, they have also faced a few issues after the launch.

Some Galaxy S24 users are reporting issues with the Face Unlock feature and Miracast-based screen mirroring. Regarding Face Unlock, some users report that the Galaxy S24 cannot detect their face in slightly low-light conditions. However, when they open their camera app, they can see themselves in the camera using the front-facing camera. Despite re-registering their face, the problem persists. Other phones seem to perform without any issue in the same lighting conditions.

This problem seems to reciprocate with other Galaxy S24 users, too. While Samsung’s Community Forum moderators have offered some solutions to the issue, none of those seem to work. Samsung hasn’t yet identified this as an official issue for the Galaxy S24 series.

Some users also report screen mirroring issues on their TVs using Miracast. While Samsung’s older phones, including the Galaxy A52, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, seem to wirelessly mirror their screen on a TV using Miracast, the Galaxy S24 is facing issues in doing the same. Samsung hasn’t acknowledged this issue yet.
