Samsung has released the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. This is the third big Android OS update to Samsung’s cheapest tablet, and it was launched way back in 2020. It is impressive to see an entry-level tablet get the latest version of Android with a software update.

The Android 14 update for the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is now available in South Korea. The update comes with firmware version T225NKOU6DWL9, and it has a download size of over 1.5GB. We expect the update to be released in other countries within the next few weeks. If you have a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite and live in South Korea, you can check for the new update by opening the Settings app and navigating to Software update » Download and install.

Once the firmware file is available in our firmware section, you can download the file and flash it manually. However, you need to back up all the important data and use a computer running Windows OS and the Odin tool for the manual firmware installation process.

The One UI 6 update, which is based on Android 14, brings a new UI design and dozens of new features. The Quick Panel now has a brand-new design. There is a new default font, a new design language for the emojis, and new font and styling options for the lock screen clock widget. It also gets two new widgets: Custom Camera and Weather Insights.

All the built-in apps have received new features or design improvements. The Gallery app displays image editing suggestions in the details page below images. The built-in Photo Editor app has more prominent editing buttons, while the Video Editor app has been renamed to Samsung Studio. The Reminders app has also received new categories and a new home screen design.

The Battery section now has a dedicated entry in the Settings app. Samsung Internet and Samsung Keyboard have received new features, too. You can clip objects from images and save them as stickers in Samsung Keyboard. You can watch many other One UI 6.0 features in action in our video above.
