Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite for the third time. Yes, you’re reading it correctly. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was originally launched in 2020 and relaunched with a newer processor two years later. Now that two years have passed since the refreshed Galaxy Tab S6 Lite launch, Samsung is ready to launch its third iteration.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) to feature newer Bluetooth version

A new and unannounced device from Samsung with model number SM-P625 was spotted in FCC (FCC ID A3LSMP625) and UL databases (via 91Mobiles). The model number shows that the device will be launched as the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). The certification of the upcoming tablet reveals that it features Bluetooth 5.3, which is a newer version compared to Bluetooth 5.0 used in the 2020 and 2022 versions of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. The upcoming device also features dual-band Wi-Fi, 2G GSM, 3G UMTS, and 4G LTE.

The FCC certification also reveals that the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite’s battery (model number EB-BT725ABU) supports fast wired charging with 15W (9V 1.67A). The device also supports the S Pen, which is listed as working at 531KHz. The battery is made by BYD, while Wacom makes the S Pen (CP-911-01B-X). The tablet is also listed as compatible with a Book Cover with model number EF-BP610. Since this book cover is also compatible with the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2020 and the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022, it means that the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 will also have dimensions similar to its predecessors.

The UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification of the battery reveals that its rated capacity is 6,840mAh battery (26.34WHr). A previous report has revealed that the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) has the Exynos 1280 processor, 4GB RAM, and Android 14 (One UI 6).
