Samsung is expanding the art collection for The Frame TV in India. The latter already hosts over 1,400 artworks, but Samsung announced today that Pattachitra art — an Indian tribal art form originating from Odisha — is coming to its lifestyle TV Art Store.

Pattachitra is an ancient form of painting on cloth and scrolls. This art form is denoted in the name, as “Patta” means “cloth,” and “chitra” stands for “picture.” These paintings are usually defined by rich details and the mythological themes they cover, as briefly showcased in the official tweet below.

As of this writing, Samsung’s lifestyle TV Art Store offers more than 1,400 artworks. Besides the new Pattachitra tribal painting gallery, The Frame customers in India can also find Gond artwork from Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, as well as Kalighat Paintings from Bengal, just to name a few.

Samsung’s The Frame lifestyle TV is available in India in four sizes, including 43, 50, 55, and 75 inches. The TV has customizable frame bezels, and the Quantum Dot panel claims 100% color volume.

Samsung is offering The Frame in India for the starting price of INR 53,990 ($676) for the 43-inch model. The 50 and 55-inch The Frame variants cost INR 68,990 ($864) and INR 85,990 ($1,077), respectively. And last but not least, customers can choose the largest model boasting a 75-inch QLED display. Prices get exponentially higher the bigger the size of the screen, and the 75-inch The Frame can set you back INR 289,990 ($3,633).

Keep in mind that although you might get a free trial for Samsung’s Art Store when buying The Frame, the Art Store is a paid subscription service. It costs around $5 a month (depending on where you live) and offers access to all the artwork available on the online store.
