Samsung is one of the largest conglomerates in South Korea. It accounts for a significant chunk of the company’s GDP. It’s safe to say that Samsung plays a crucial role in the South Korean economy. For a company to be in that position, it needs to be run like a tight ship.

That holds true for Samsung. Despite the challenges faced by its leadership team, Samsung has remained South Korea’s best-managed company for three years in a row. This sets up Samsung as the gold standard for companies in the country.

Corporate tracker CEO Score reports that Samsung ranked as the best-managed company among South Korea’s top 500 businesses in 2021. It has kept the top spot for itself three years in a row. That’s a big achievement.

CEO Score has been measuring the management potential of South Korea’s companies since 2017. Some of the conglomerate’s affiliates like Samsung Biologics have also been praised for their effective management.

The company scored highly in four categories that include high growth, investment, global competitiveness, and job creation. It’s followed in second place by Hyundai which was rated excellent for its high growth, transparent governance, and job creation. Internet company Naver came in third place on the list and received a high score in transparent governance and gender equality.
