Samsung launches 4TB T7 Shield Portable SSD in India

Last year, Samsung unveiled its most rugged portable SSD ever, the T7 Shield. A few months ago, the company launched it in India. However, the SSD was available only in 1TB and 2TB storage versions. Now, the South Korean firm has launched the 4TB version of the T7 Shield SSD in India.

The 4TB version of the T7 Shield is priced between INR 30,000 (around $365) and INR 35,000 (around $425) in India. Samsung will sell it through its website, Samsung Shop app, and all authorized offline and online retailers across the country. The new SSD will come with a three-year warranty.

The T7 Shield features a rugged body that has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. It is shock-resistant, too. It has sequential read and sequential write speeds of 1,050Mbps and 1,000Mbps, respectively. It has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port and weighs just 98g. Samsung says that users can transfer 12K resolution video of 1TB file size would take around 22 minutes. It offers AES 256-bit hardware encryption.
