Samsung Odyssey Neo G8, G7, G4 monitors are going global this month

Samsung officially announced the global launch of its Odyssey Neo monitor series earlier today. The Odyssey Neo G8, G7, and G4 are launching globally this month, with precise release schedules varying by region. Samsung released the Neo G8 in the United States last month, and more markets beyond the US borders are to follow throughout June.
The Odyssey Neo G8 represents sits atop the new series because it is the world’s first 4K gaming monitor to boast a super-fast refresh rate of 240Hz. Meanwhile, the Odyssey Neo G7 and G4 focus on either 4K or a super-high refresh rate but don’t deliver both at the same time.
The Odyssey G7 has a 4K resolution like the Odyssey G8 but tops out at a 165Hz refresh rate. And lastly, the G4 can achieve 240Hz but has a lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 (FHD) instead of 4K.
Curved or flat, the Odyssey monitors are equipped for gaming
One of the biggest differences between the 32-inch Odyssey Neo G8 or G7 and the smaller 25/27-inch Odyssey G4 is that the latter has a flat panel. The other two upper-tier Odyssey models have a 1000R curved panel.
Regardless, all three monitors are designed for gaming and offer great viewing angles and a very low 1ms GTG (gray-to-gray) response time. However, once again, some things differ from the lower to the upper end of the range. The G8 and G7 have HDMI 2.1, while the G4 is limited to HDMI 2.0. The latter model also lacks Freesync Premium Pro compatibility but supports FreeSync Premium and G-Sync.
