While there’s no metal back plate this time around, as revealed in a teardown last month, we get plenty of shock absorption materials such as fiber-reinforced plastic. This structured display layer protects the screen from external shock.
Samsung is also using rubber bumpers around the display for added protection. Moreover, Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus+ protects the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s front and back.
