Samsung Electronics and Porsche recently got together for an exclusive event powered by The Wall and a lot of horsepower. The event hosted at the Porsche Center Santa Fe, Mexico, had two main attractions. First was Samsung’s powerful, colorful, and versatile The Wall display, and the other was the breathtaking Porsche 911 Carrera Panamericana Special.

The latter is a unique car that Porsche initially unveiled late last year. It’s a tribute to the first Porsche car to participate in the La Carrera Panamericana road race that admittedly changed Porsche’s history forever.

At the event, Porsche explored its past and present and showcased the story of the legendary 1952 Pan-American race in Mexico on Samsung’s The Wall screen. Back in 1952, the German car maker raced using the Porsche 356. And this iconic car was paid tribute last year with the reveal of the unique 911 Carrera Panamericana Special, featuring 20/21-inch Gentian Blue Metallic Turbo wheels and a Graffiti Gray convertible top.

Porsche chose Samsung’s The Wall because of its vibrant colors. They are made possible by the Neural Quantum Processor and the Ultra Chroma technology, which produces vibrant yet natural colors and a lifelike viewing experience.

Given the reputation of the Pan-American race, the Porsche brand, and the uniqueness of the 911 Carrera Panamericana Special 2022, this was great exposure for The Wall. Samsung, who happens to be the world’s leading TV marker, says it has been an honor to organize the exclusive event with Porsche.

In other recent news, Samsung Electronics’ subsidiary Harman is co-developing the unified software stack for all the cars under the Volkswagen Group brand, which, of course, includes Porsche. The app store will boast familiar apps, from social media platforms to streaming apps, games, and EV-related software. The app will debut on Audi and Volkswagen cars and be later adopted by Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche.
