Samsung’s MultiStar application, which is a module for the company’s Good Lock app, offers additional features related to the multi-window functionality over what the system settings offer. One of those features is Multi Focus. Usually, when you use two or more apps simultaneously, one of the apps that isn’t active can stop working. Multi Focus prevents that from happening. It keeps all windows that are open active even if you aren’t using them. Unfortunately, this feature stopped working with One UI 6.0. Today, we have an update on the matter.

Samsung says that it is aware of the issue and will fix the problem with the One UI 6.1 update (via @theonecid). The company acknowledged the issue and provided an update on the matter on Samsung’s community forum for Korea when a person complained about the issue.

Samsung already offers One UI 6.1 to Galaxy S24 series. So, we are expecting that those devices don’t have the issue with Multi Focus in MultiStar. The company is expected to start offering One UI 6.1 update before the end of the first of this year. However, note that the AI features of One UI 6.1, which you see on the Galaxy S24 series, will arrive only on the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
