Samsung announced three months ago that Samsung Wallet users in the US would be able to add their mobile driver’s license to the app. It has been confirmed that Arizona, USA, users can add their driver’s license to the Samsung Wallet app on a compatible Samsung device.

Samsung Wallet users in Arizona can add their driver’s license and other state IDs to the app. The Arizona Department Of Transport announced the news on its website and through its X profile. They can then display their IDs easily and securely at select TSA (Transportation Security Administration) checkpoints, including Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. More state and airport locations will get Samsung Wallet support in the future.

The Samsung Wallet app is secured through Samsung Knox, and users can use their PIN or fingerprint to access their state IDs. The app displays a virtual driver’s license or other state IDs, along with the user’s relevant information and a QR code that the authorities can scan.

Samsung Wallet was created by merging Samsung Pass and Samsung Pay. It allows users to make mobile payments, store login credentials, official documents, membership/loyalty cards, digital car keys, digital keys for smart locks, health passes, coupons, gift cards, tickets, boarding passes, and even cryptocurrency or digital assets.
